Some Parting Poetry lol

Here are a few fun poems we wrote to commemorate our time in Israel

The Bus Ride to Jerusalem

My friends are cute, when not awake
and thus, their pictures I must take

So now I'll always have this gem,
And with it, have fun teasing them

                                 The Mediterranean

Hark!
Another sea!
And this one, entirely foreign to me!
It shimmers blue, against the sky,
And high above it, birds do fly.
Waves crash hard against the shore
Pounding, pounding, more and more.
Shells are scattered, winds are strong,
Beaches battered all day long.
Along this coast, we now walk,
We smell, we see, we make small talk,
It's nice to stroll in Tel Aviv,
I'm glad to do this, 'fore we leave.

Tree Soup

A tree
No, it's not soup nuts
It's a tree
Specifically a black tree
with blue clouds that envelop it
split in two
part dead, part aliiiveeee
but what is the dead if its branches are in the sky
well, it's soup nuts

Cats and dogs prance everywhere
Come towards you without a care
Late at night you hear a baby's screams?
Lo, it's a cat-- they'll be in your dreams.

A tribute
There once was a hidden gray hurricane
It tormented the genius in its center
So the genius collected its dust
He molded it into a structure
The dust became gold

II
The genius now smiles--
He has lit up a world
He has birthed the eyes
of a hundred
young

A po-em by No-am
I'm trying to come up with stuff to say
My heart says yes but my mind says nay
I wish I had the ability to rhyme
but I feel like I'm running out of time
I'm trying to think of something clever
but I have nothing-- oh look! a beaver!
